This recipe is the best and most delicious homemade Alfredo sauce. It's really creamy, and I promise that you will not make it any other way. When I cook this at the firehouse this will feed 5 of us and we'll have leftovers. Serve over pasta.

Ingredients | Cream Cheese Alfredo Sauce Recipe Olive Garden

½ cup unsalted butter

½ (8 ounce) package cream cheese

1 teaspoon minced garlic

1 pint heavy whipping cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

¼ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions

Melt butter in a medium nonstick saucepan over medium heat. Stir in cream cheese and garlic using a wire whisk until smooth, about 5 minutes. Add heavy cream a little at a time and whisk until smooth, cooking slow over medium-low heat, 7 to 10 minutes. Stir in Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until blended. Adjust seasonings to taste. Remove from heat.

I sometimes add chicken to this recipe. I use 3 boneless chicken breasts, cook them separately, and add on top of sauce. I personally like to grill my chicken.
