Baby food is simple enough, but I was on the baby food diet and was in desperate need of yummy inspiration. I started making my own and put them into the empty jars I had. No extra liquid is needed, the fruit juices are enough.

2 apples, cored and sliced into 8 wedges

4 strawberries, quartered, or more to taste

Directions

Place apples in a microwave-safe container; cover and cook in the microwave until tender, about 2 minutes. Add strawberries; cover and cook in the microwave for 1 minute more.

Transfer apples and strawberries to a blender; pulse until smooth and mixture reaches a consistency similar to yogurt or applesauce.

I used Ambrosia apples in mine, but any kind can be used. Also, the apples can be peeled prior to microwaving, which is recommended if you're giving it to your baby. I chose not to for added texture.
