This is a recipe from my roommate Kate's personal collection - it's a spicy, sweet, savory, and very delicious exotic sauce that's sure to be a hit with those with a sense of adventure for new ethnic cuisine!Ingredients | Peanut Satay Tofu Marinade1 ¾ cups peanut butter¾ cup water, divided½ cup maple syrup½ cup coconut milk4 cloves garlic, crushed¼ cup soy sauce1 tablespoon fish sauce1 pinch red pepper flakes, or to tasteDirectionsHeat peanut butter and 3/8 cup water in a nonstick saucepan over low heat. Add maple syrup, coconut milk, garlic, soy sauce, fish sauce, 3/8 cup water, and red pepper flakes to peanut butter mixture, stirring well after each addition.Bring peanut mixture to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring, until flavors blend, 5 minutes.
