I found an old recipes book of my grandmother's and decided to let her recipes and great cooking live on.Ingredients | Geronimo Stilton Books Author1 ⅓ cups whole wheat flour⅓ cup wheat germ1 teaspoon baking powder½ teaspoon baking soda1 teaspoon salt½ cup brown sugar⅓ cup butter, melted1 egg1 cup buttermilk¼ cup any flavor fruit jamDirectionsPreheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Grease muffin cups or line with paper muffin liners.Stir together flour, wheat germ, baking powder, salt and brown sugar. In a separate bowl, mix together butter, egg and buttermilk. Stir milk mixture into dry ingredients; mix just until combined. Fill prepared muffin cups half full with batter. Make a depression in the center of each muffin and drop in 1 teaspoon of jam.
